Do you like your vacuum cleaners sexy and slim? Can’t do any better than the Dyson DC35 Digital Slim, a cordless vacuum cleaner that doesn’t appear any bigger than one of Harry Potter’s flying broomsticks.
Designed for all types of floors, the home cleaning device has a motorized head that supposedly “spins five times faster than a Formula 1 car engine.” Three different cleaning assemblies can be tethered to the head: a carbon fiber brush to execute thorough sweeps across hard floors, a rotating nylon brushes to remove all manners of dirt grounded into carpets and a combination ensemble.
The Dyson DC35 Digital Slim measures 1,120 x 230 x 300 mm and weighs a reasonably light 2.25 kgs. Since a full-sized cleaning machine is awkward to use in stairs, the pipe in the middle can be removed to turn it into a convenient handheld vacuum (that looks like some power tool). It has a rechargeable battery onboard, which can last for 15 minutes on a normal sweep (or 6 frantic minutes in high-power mode) before requiring a fresh batch of juice.
Other notables include a lifetime filter and Dyson’s Radix Cyclone technology for keeping it from losing suction while you suck dirt. A plastic bin with one-touch disposal takes the place of the bulky bag, with the space to collect 0.35 liters of rubbish at a time.
Vacuums can be sexy, too, and the Dyson DC35 Digital Slim is your anorexic ramp model of the bunch. Or something like that. It’s available now, priced at $469.
